At Highlands we will gather at the Appalachian Forest Museum (the former entrance to the Seven Caves Park) at 4PM on Saturday, June 12. After a brief introduction to the nearby trails, visitors will have time to hike and enjoy nature at this place of stunning beauty. At 5:15 we will gather back at the center for a 45 minute program to hear the story of the sanctuary and the inspiring work of the Arc of Appalachia Preserve System. At 6PM food and wine of the region will be served overlooking the Rocky Fork Gorge. A relaxing way to spend a Saturday evening surrounded by great people and great nature! Reservations are required. Lodging @ Highlands Nature Sanctuary A limited number of overnight lodging opportunities are available at the Sanctuary.
